It is Coming

This was very much BUSY BUSY BUSY. This was my first week back at school and it was hard trying to figure out everything works has definitely been overwhelming . Emily has made some new friends this week and did really well for our babysitter. Max is max he is so chill and loves when anyone gives him attention.
Yesterday Ammon and Ella came over to play and Emily had a blast with them she showed Ella her room read books, played with cars, and rode their bikes. I think it was awesome to watch all of them talk and interact. Ella had quite the fascination with Max which was funny. Emily, Ammon and Ella were playing catch with me anyways Emily and Ammon were both going after the ball and Ammon took her down (not on purpose) needless to say she has a huge gash on her leg. So now about every few minutes or when she gets in trouble. "My knee hurts". I love my kids. Overall week was good one more week before the students come to school. I have a class of 23 11 girls and 12 boys and I dunno if they are ready for me, but I am getting ready for them.

Hanging out Before School Starts

I have already started some meeting before school starts this year and I officially go back on Tuesday for Professional development and boy am I going to miss my children. So this week we did some family time we went to the library, hung out outside, went to Kings Dominion, and overall just tried to spend as much time together as possible. To help things out was the fact that it has been super nice all week perfect outdoor weather so that is exactly what we have been doing playing outside. I didn't take a lot of pictures this week, but it was fun. Emily loves to sing now outside all the time she sings and she even makes up her own songs now. Max hates crawling on different surfaces like cement or grass so he does this whole bear crawl thing. It just makes me laugh and it is so hard to do I even tried to do it. I hope you enjoy our pictures.
Loving the stroller

She tried a ride called Boo Hill....needless to say not a fan

Riding the Carousal for the first time...LOVED IT

Excited about his first ride at KD....he later regretted it

we sat here while she drove this car......5 times...should I be worried?

Is Emily done yet?

Excited about riding the train for the first time....He regretted this too

Getting last of fun out before school starts

This week was an attempt to relax and get things ready before school starts, however I am more tired now that I was last Sunday. This week thanks to a nightmare Emily has developed a fear of the dark. Other than that all is well. Yesterday we went out to the Peach Festival on Lazy S Ranch, it was blast minus the car ride. Max took it upon himself to scream the whole way there it was miserable. We skipped his nap to go, I had high hopes that he would sleep in the car, Epic Fail!!! We got some good deals on apples, tomatoes and some squash everything was super cheap per pound so we stocked up and I am going to make Jason can them. Other than that at the Lazy S Ranch they had a fake horse or bull ride that someone had to shake to make move, and just little random games. Emily got her hands painted again this week with balloons she also got a tattoo of a horse. Max had his first hay ride which he enjoyed sort of, and Emily rode her first pony thanks to Aunt Nan and Uncle Paul. Nan had bought two tickets to ride the pony Ella rode no problems Ammon ran away from the saying I don't want to ride the horse, just so they wouldn't waste their money Emily rode. You cant tell from pictures or the video she enjoyed but she did. When she got down she asked if she could ride the Bull. Max hung out in the stroller most of the time, but loves starting at people so he had some fun. He also slept for a good chunk of the way home which was nice.
When we got home we put the kids to bed and then headed to the Panther BBQ it was weird, but Emily made some new friends and so did Max. I met some of the people I will be teaching with. Jason made some good contacts as well, but it is Jason he can talk to anyone anytime. Sometimes I wish I was that brave. Emily loved the cake so much at the BBQ she cried all the way home yelling for it. Got to love kids reactions to sugar.

Go Max!

Emily loved the tire swing...a little much she let go with one hand and tried to swing

Staring at the animals

Library Carnival

Yesterday we went to the library for their yearly carnival and it was soo much fun. We started off by having Emily read to the PAWS dogs here, she wanted to but didn't want to at the same time. She is so funny about animals now she is almost not afraid of them. PAWS dogs are therapy dogs for kids and they go around to the local schools, hospitals or even nursing homes and people read to them or just talk to them. After that we did some singing and reading, then we saw mother goose and then we played with a parachute. After that we headed we saw the Japanese Mom's Club and they made us a cool origami hat, and then we saw the other Mom's club and we made a butterfly out of scraps of paper, snack bag, and pipe cleaner. Then we decided to head outside to play some games. We started off by looking at the miniature horses, Emily mainly looks and doesn't do a lot of touching. Then we played plinko, and throw the sacks in the whole. Emily won one prize but she didn't deserve it the girl felt bad for her. Next we were able to see a big truck Max actually sat in it, but Emily was freaked out. Then we ate some Popsicles. Went back inside we went and looked at some cool train pictures, and talk to some gamers where Emily an awesome picture of Pikachu. After that we went to get Emily hand's painted, did some finger stamps, and then watched some Tae Kwon Do. Emily loved the Tae Kwon Do she was doing all the hi yas with them jumping up and down trying to kick like them. It was so funny she crouched down like some of the kids did when the other kids were supposed to jump over them she felt like they were going to jump over her. Overall it was a blast and I am glad we went, even though I did not win a door prize.

Louisa County Fair

This year we drove down to Louisa to go to the fair with Nan, Ella, and Ammon and boy did we have some fun. We started off entering the wrong gate, but we figured stuff out.
Here the Kids are excited to head down to the fair
Emily was almost okay with goats and sheep, but when they made a noise she freaked and ran for the wagon

Here is she is sitting in the wagon trying to convince everyone to get back in so we could go somewhere else

Emily liked the bunnies, but was still a little nervous
Overall her favorite thing was the chicks, but she tired to feed them straw..gotta love her

They had a corn box instead of a sandbox, problem was Emily was to weirded out to get in. Ammon on the other hand swam in the corn and loved it!

We had Egg hunt, and Emily had a blast she found five eggs, and apparently has some of my competitive nature because she almost stole a few from another little boy

The wildlife rescue came and brought owls, Max was fussy, but I thought it was way cool. They brought a bard owl, Screeching owl and another one.

Emly loved the owls too, until they tried to fly away then she had to get close to Daddy

These things make me laugh

Max hanging out listening to a blue grass band....that one was for you Grammy

Hanging out with Ella

I love this picture

All three were able to get free fire hats they loved them
Overall it was a good afternoon, both Emily and Max fell asleep on the way home and slept the whole way. I love going to fairs it just brings back those memories of me going as a kid.
