Having Fun in The Sun

After Jason got off work yesterday we decided to have some summertime fun. We went to the Rappahannock River and went swimming. Now at first glance at the River it is not very pretty, but the combination of the sun, sand and water it makes a great time.
Emily was even able to see some fish. Build a sand castle, destroy and sand castle. She also enjoyed just playing in the sand or getting buckets of water and dumping them on Jason. I don't know who taught her that one.

What are we doing here guys?

Where is all this water coming from?

How much sand can I put in this bucket?

Mom are you coming?

Max was able to enjoy splashing any and everyone that came near him. He had so much fun. We skipped his nap to go, but you could not tell. A smile never left that boys face.
I don't want to go home Mom
This is what Max did most of the Time, but look at his dinosaur hat. He was too focused to even look at  me

Now Jason had a little more of an exciting experience. We were sitting in the deeper part of the water. All of a sudden Jason yells at me to hold Max. I look at him why should I hold both kids. He than says to me again Hold Max a little more urgently. I take Max and think maybe something is biting him. All of sudden he just dives off into the river. I was like what is he doing? Was he that hot? He than grabs a kid who was drowning and brings him back to the shallow part. Ask if he is okay and then lets the kid go. Jason comes back to me and grabs Max like everything was normal. I think the craziest thing about this whole thing is no one noticed what Jason did. What would have happened if Jason would not have been there. Needless to say we were glad we went.
The Afternoon Hero
Well none of my stories could to Jason. I had fun and enjoyed watching Emily play in the sand and water. She is becoming quite the person. So I had to take a picture with she was not all about the picture, but it makes me smile.

Fathers Day!

First I have to wish my hubby a Happy Fathers Day he is such a good Dad to my kids and I am grateful for all he does. For the Fathers day weekend we went to the park exploring Emily loves hiking and exploring she stops every few feet picking up sticks rock and flowers and put them in her pockets or shares with me it was fun. Jason wanted to have dinner just he two of us for Fathers Day so we did we went to Ice Cream afterwards while Debbie baby sat it was nice evening. Today I let Jason sleep in then its off to church we go.

At the Park

Second I want to wish my Daddy Happy Fathers day. He has helped me to become who I am today and I am so happy he raised me the way he did. His tremendous faith in the gospel no matter what is going on in his life has been a great example for me. As well as always providing for our family as well as delivering me when I was born, even though the 49ers were playing I think that was quite the sacrifice.

Third I want to wish my father in law Happy Fathers Day! Thanks for making Jason a strong man and willing to work hard. Thank you for the patience you must have had with him when teaching him to work on cars, and fix things around the house. Also thanks for being a great Papa to Emily and Maximus.

Check out these kids

Here is a little update on my kids. Max is seventh months old and is almost crawling, he can sit up and eating solid food like a champ. He sleeps a lot better than Emily and is not a fan of the sippy cup yet, but I am trying to convince it is a better option cause it has juice. He love the jumper and could be there for hours, he loves playing with cars, and of course the wipes container.
Emily is two and has a very strong personality She has decided to perform silent protests whens she does not get what she wants. I say go to bed. She lays down in the hallway. She knows her color and loves to read stories to max, she loves to pretend to cook, and loves shopping. I cannot wait until Grandma or Grammy come around so they can take her shopping. You set this girl down in the clothes isle and she will tell you what she wants it is hilarious and frightening at the same time.
Max was wearing so Emily wanted to too

Check out my model. She looks good in white

Look at my new cars

Grandma sent Emily a hat and she likes to wear for pictures

Hey Everybody!

They ride their bikes together

Sometimes they even love eachother

Going to the Farm

A couple of weeks ago we went with Paul, Nan, Ella, and Ammon to visit a farm. We saw cows, pigs, and a pony. Emily's favorite animal was the pig. We had fun especially at Ihop afterward where Emily convinced Paul to give her chocolate pancakes in exchange for bananas.

Max's first Swim

Max went swimming for the first time. He had fun he loved splashing the water. He did not even mind when Emily splashed water all over him. He is seventh months old and growing up so fast. Emily is modeling her new swim suit for us. She liked although she is still a little weirded out she doesn't have on a shirt.

Happy Mother's Day

So it is another Mother's Day! This year Jason and I are both without our Mother's close. It is kind of weird to celebrate a day for someone who is not here. However I want to let my Mom know how much I love and appreciate all she has done for me. I feel she is one of the bravest women on the planet and yet is so willing to sacrifice for me and my family. I hope one day to be half the Mom you are.

I am also grateful for my Mother-in-law as she has been gone on she and Jason's Dad have been gone it has made me realize how much they do everyday for their family and how much they are missed. It makes me laugh when Emily sits at our computer and tells me that she is talking to papa and Grammy. I am also she raised Jason in the Gospel it has only made us a stronger couple and such a great Dad. I also want to thank her for homeschooling him because it gave him the quirks that make me love him more like cooking, and cross stitching.
On a side note my dear children love all their Grandparents and talk about them. Emily when I put her to bed will yell from the top of the stairs... Papa, Grandma, Grammy, Grandpa. When I call or talk to either of you she wants to take the phone and be the one in charge cause she has something to say. Miss both of you.

LOVE YOU GUYS AND THANK YOU!!!

Update

Well I know it is has been forever and to be honest I wish it was because I am busy, but alas it has more to do with the fact that I am lazy. I guess I have a couple family updates. Jason has started working for Omaha Mutual, and I have finished student teaching and am looking for a job in Virginia to teach. Also I went to a teacher fair a couple weeks ago and one the schools after interviewing me marked me as a highly qualified teacher. It made me feel so good, however they have not hired me or anything, but it still makes me feel like I am going to be a good teacher. As far the children. Emily is becoming cuter by the day and talking more and more and demanding what she wants. She gets to pick out her clothes everyday as a way for to be more independent and sometimes her clothes are quite unique, but I Love it because it allows her to show her to her personality. Second she is getting better about wanting to learn we are practicing letters, some days she is good others, not so good. Max is well Max he is the happiest baby ever, and when I think about what I made him go through it makes me feel horrible. However he is sitting up, eating solid food, rolling over and spinning in circles on his belly. We think he is super close to crawling. So here are some pictures of Emily we are family to put her hair up and Max who Emily is excited that he can actually play some now cause he is GIGANTIC!!!

I set Max down on the coach...Emily laid down next to him and starts yelling for a blanket..I LOVE IT

Peek-a-boo...Max wasn't love it today

Check out those pig tails!!
