National Museum

Early in July we went to the National Museum. We drove to the Metro station and took it the rest of the way. It was so much fun not to have to drive in DC. I loved it it was so much fun at the zoo seeing all the animals at the zoo. The hard part was it was humid and rainy so we were either sweating cause humidity or raining. I loved the fact that you can see so much we saw tigers, cheetah, lions, pandas, we went into a reptile house, saw otters, and seals it was cool to see animals we may not see all the time. We so many more animals then that, next person to visit me guess where we are going? The best part was all we had to pay for was transportation. Max's favorite was the elephant, and Emily's was pandas. My personal favorite was either the Elephant or the flamingos. It was fun just to be a family.

Max was a little scared of all the shaking on the Metro

I am pretty sure there are animals that I cannot see

Jason is Gone!

Jason has spent this last week in Missouri and we have been kind of busy. Monday we went to the lake and swam. Tuesday we played out side in the rain and made jello jigglers, Emily spent the night at Grammys and got sick. I picked her up on Wednesday after we were at Sneads. She slept for most of the today. We had Eggs and Smoothie for dinner. Then Thursday we woke up and Em and I were both sick. I know Fun right! Max however was healthy and playing with cars. Thanks to Grandma he was very entertained playing with is new car, they played with blocks when Emily didnt feel to bad. Today most of us are okay I am still deciding if I am healthy or not, but Em is.

Visitors

Ammon, Ella, and Eliza came over to play we had a blast. Ella really did well on our scooter and it is nice to see my kids interact with other kids.

Water problems

Jason's Aunt Janet has been setting up Holly's room well she went in there recently and found water. I know how exciting right. I thought I fixed it at first turns out I did not! Don't get me wrong our water bill was going up and everything was crazy and we could not figure out why, but still did not realize we had a leak. This was not a normal leak, but one that was outside of our house it was in the line between our water meter and our house. Jason and I went outside to turn off the water to our house and I have never seen so many slugs in my entire life. It was disgusting we opened up the water meter and they were everywhere. Jason called his Dad and then the next morning Jason's dad dug a hole found and fixed our leak. Needless to say he was very much my hero. Before this point we were losing 864 gallons of water a day. I think that is why our water bill was so high. Everything is working now, Yay!

J-Bird Visiting

Jason's friend Jason and his family came into town. We met them at the park. We arrived quite awhile before they did, so we went and found the pond. It was awesome to watch Emily actually enjoying exploring. Max almost liked everything but was very hesitant about walking in the woods. After the park we went to Jason's mom's house swam and had a BBQ. Then we went out to dinner and headed to our house. It was nice to watch Jason catch up with his best friend from growing up it made me really miss some of my friends. Max was obsessed with Nora and Nora loved Emily's bed. After I put Emily and Max to bed he kept trying to run in there and see Emily. Kids are funny.

7-11

Max enjoyed his first slurpie this year on 7-11. I think the picture describes it best. Emily was not a fan of them she had a drink and then gave it to Max. I think it is funny how two kids raised in the same home can have such different taste buds.

Williamsburg

We left after Father's Day at church and headed to Williamsburg to spend some time with Jason's family. The kids were exhausted after having so much fun at church and passed out on the way there. The first night we settled we were lucky to be sharing a room with Paul and Nan's family Emily and Max got along really well with Ammon Ella and Eliza it was fun to watch the play games together.  After finally getting the kids to bed the first night ending with Jason and I in with each kid. We woke up and got ready to go to the beach that was so much. That was our first time at he beach to swim it was fun. It took Max all day to warm up and at the end he did not want to leave, once we hit the showers he loved playing in the water. On the second day we spent our days swimming in the pool there. The third day we did some crafts, went swimming and headed home. Other fun things we did was play shuffle board, and go on walks, the kids rode their big wheels around. They loved it, they referred to where we stayed as their vacation house. I love kids.
