sleeping

When I woke up Max was sleeping like this. I never know how that boy sleeps sometimes he is horizontal or vertical or just on the floor. I love this kid.

KD with Holly and Hanging out at home

This week we spent more time at home, well kind of. However, Holly got out of class one day and we went to King's Dominion it was a blast. we played a the water park, went on the rockets, Emily rode the wood stock ride for the first time ( more of  a real roller coaster) and Max did not cry for every ride. It nice because no one was there. It started to rain and then poured so needless to say we got soaked. I only almost killed Holly once I call that a good trip.

Fire House

Yesterday we went to visit Uncle William at the Firehouse. It was a blast. We ate lunch at the fire house and got to sit in the trucks and meet real fireman. Max and Emily absolutely loved it. They got to go with Aunt Janet, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Jim, Natalie and Connor. It was fun to spend time with them and get to see all the cool things.
Connor showed us the ambulance first, they loved the bed in back

Jason was trying to convince Max to wear the hat (did not work)

Max asking Uncle william questions. Why do you have some many fire trucks? Why is the beep beep broken? Where are the light? Do you have a flash light? on and on. Uncle William was super patient and kind it was a blast.

My person favorite part was of course the siren and light which is awesome. Natalie hated the siren so we only heard it once. Overall good trip!

I love my Kids

While waiting at the doctors office my children found a way to entertain themselves and I love it. I love the people staring at my kids

Hanging out

We have had a lot of fun this summer and I think it is crazy that it is almost over. We spent a lot of time at Sneads picking Raspberries and lately we have been picking sunflowers too. At home we play cars, barbies, kitties, blocks and shopping. They both are also getting really good at riding there bike, they can ride for about a mile with complaints. Emily can do 2 before she starts complaining about hills. I also like watching how creative they are becoming in figuring out how to solve problems.
We have been potty training Max this summer, I would say we have more successes the failures but it is still so frustrating. Emily has been working on writing and has improved quite a bit.
Both are so excited to go back to school they are done with boring Mom.
They made a car out of the totes but they needed it bigger so they used ponies to hold it together

They were running from a scary witch (me)

Playing at King's Dominion

This was a fun trip, we had to KD with Grammy, Papa, Zoe and Michelle. Every ride Max wanted to go with Papa and Emily wanted to Grammy which made it an easy trip for me. Emily rode with Papa on the flying Eagles and had a blast they went so high. This was the first trip that Max did not spend the majority of the time with his face in your armpit on the rides. It was fun. I always enjoy getting out of the house and having fun.

All the kids wanted to Ride with Papa, Grammy was left ot

Louisa County Fair

We spent Jason's birthday at the Louisa County Fair, and we had fun of course. We found balloons for the kids, they got books, they got to "fish", Emily and I did a corn cob eating contest. Jason joined a potato sack race. We went to an animal clinic where Emily was able to do surgery on a stuffed bear. Max refused to do it, but it was absolutely adorable. Especially because Emily is obsessed with being a doctor right now.
She held the forceps, and got to wear all the surgical gear

trying to hold the fur back (they were real vets and they do this for volunteers)
