The Enemy

This is the that is right, a bee, a good ol. The first question is how many times can a bee sting? You think you know, well let me tell you my story then you will figure out the REAL answer. I decided to wear long pants to the Stars and Stripes Celebration. As we were walking away from the play ground i felt a short pain in my calf, I look to see what it was I could not see anything. Then I felt a stabbing pain on the side of my knee. I then sat down and begged Jason to look for a stinger or something, nothing I was wearing long pants how could it sting. Jason then asked me if I wanted to go to the bath room to see if all was alright, I told him no cause where could it be I pulled my pants all the way past my knee. Needless 5 minutes later I pull out my phone look at it, put it back in my pocket and you guessed the same pain I scream look down my pants look for the bee I still do not say it, I go the bathroom pull down my pants an there it was sitting there like he had not caused me large amounts of pain. how was I to kill it, take off my shoes in the port-a-potty. I grabbed my phone smooshed it and was stressed out. Needless to say this was the end result, of one of my stings the others look close to the same.
Right after it stung me

24 hours later
To answer your question a bee can sting three times, and apparently is willing to fly up your pants, so much for pants being my saving grace. I am sore tired and hurt and annoyed. Of course Jason cannot stop making bee jokes. I cannot blame I mocked him for a week after he got stung.

Stars and stripes Celebration

We had the fourth of July celebration yesterday in our County and it was a blast. We invited friends and family over to play. Then at 3ish we walked over to all the festivities. We started with the bounce house, where Emily climbed all the way to the top and then refused to go down the slide, so her big Momma had to. However all the people around were very kind at trying to have their kids help her. We rode a couple rides, played with snakes, got balloons, someone made us balloon animals, played at the play ground, went in the bouncy house maze, pet a horse and Emily rode on a train thing. Overall we had a blast and the best part of course was that it was free. However, it was not all smooth sailing I had a little encounter with a yellow and black friend.

Having Fun in the Sun

In the last couple of weeks I have had a lot of fun. Emily is taking swim lessons so we occasionally go to Jason's Mom to practice her skills and just to have fun and cool off in the sun. Jason's Mom to a great picture of us the other day while we were swimming.
I love how Emily is Cheesing

Snead's Farm

So we are part of a local CSA, and we get all sorts of crazy vegetables and fruit. This last week was the first week that I went. It is so cool they have a kid area for kids to explore and play. Every once in awhile they let you pick your own too.

Emily Cooking

Emily is an official chef she made her first pizza with me this week. We made pizza I made a big one with Max and I had a lot of extra dough so she made one. She yelled at me anytime I would touch something.  Overall it was great.

King's Dominion

We had a blast this last Monday going to King's Dominion. Emily especially had fun, she enjoyed playing with all of her cousins. We went swimming, we rode rides. However, Max was angry the whole time to put it lightly. However, here are some pictures of Emily and her "sister" of the weekend.

We look forward to them coming again, hopefully we see each other before another seven years goes by.

Kings Dominion

So Max Came home from our wonderful trip to Kings Dominion and this is what I got from him. Not a whole lot of happiness.

Family Reunion

To put it simply I am a slacker so I did not take any pictures however thanks to Jason's Aunt Helen and a few other relatives I have some.
Friday was the start of it all Jason and I went over to his parents house and hung out that is when Emily met her "sister" Aurora. Needless to say she loves having kids her age near her. This was also the day Jason felt it was cool to go swimming with his phone. Emily and I also went to get pedicures with a few other relatives. Aurora was there to she picked out red nail polish and so Emily had to too, so they were nail polish twins.
Saturday was the big hoopla. We went out to the lake celebrated played eat and swam. It was really nice to get know some of Jason's extended family. Although because I am still me you will notice in these pictures that Emily is wearing Max's swimsuit and that is purely because I forgot hers and I figured it would be more socially acceptable to have Max naked then Emily.
Great Grandma and her Great Grandkids. If you notice both mine are crying go Kira!

My favorite thing about this picture is Max's face
In the top cornor is Emily and Maya, you can see the kids wore life jackets as well as that there was cool playground to play on

Emily was funny about the slip n slide instead of sliding she crawled to the end.
Sunday we all went our ward with Jason's Grandma who spoke. It was really nice we took up the entire back section, but still nice. After church we went to Jason's Aunt Helen's house ate some sandwiches and ice cream and socialized while the kids played. Jason was fascinated with her chickens and Max was so scared of their dog, but it was really nice to relax with everyone.

Overall we had a great family reunion I hope to be better about taking pictures at the one in Nevada however I doubt it. I also forgot to mention that we went to Kings Dominion on Monday as part of the trip, but that deserves its own post.

Update

To put this simply school is over, the last few weeks were hard, but fun. We did not a lot of fun things, I raced my class we played sharks vs minnows, overall just fun times bonding. I am really going to miss all those wonderful crazy kids.

Now to talk about my own crazy kids. This last week I had off it was weird I felt like I was in an episode of ground hogs day. We went to the library, we went swimming in our little pool, we went swimming at Grammy's we went to Kings Dominion, and then on Friday Jason's family reunion started. Overall just kind of busy. Max is getting so big and old he is asking for things all the time. Emily however is convinced he is still a baby and tells me no maxi can't do that he baby, I big girl I can do it. (I personally love her logic)
