Santa Clause

Well I am officially on Christmas break and loving it. Emily is also loving that I am far less stressed. She is also starting to get better about sleeping. So hopefully she will get to sleep through the whole night with out waking up. Other than that Emily has seen Santa Claus for the first time, and I made Jason and Emily stocking this year. They turned out okay. Other than that we are just waiting for Christmas I am like a little kid and cannot wait to open them. Also Emily is loving all the boxes the gift are coming in.

Jason is doing very well at work right now, we are just pushing through to the end of the year.

Christmas

Well Jason, Emily and I have been way Busy getting ready for Christmas on top of that I am working on some Practicum hours and enjoying every second. Emily is trying to figure out how to stand on her own and learned how lift things up recently, her new favorite thing is to lift my shirt and dig her nails into my stomach.

We have already set up our house for Christmas everything has been bought and now we are hoping to enjoy this season. I am trying to figure out what traditions to start with our family, but I am worried I am going to start a bad one. I am excited for Emily's first Christmas she already has the unwrapping presents down. She started with her Aunt Jenny's present and than decided to unwrap her own. However it is not the present she wants she just wants the paper, man does Emily love paper.

Jason is working hard as usual at Geico. He also just finished a bed for sister Michelle, and rocking motorcycle for his nephew. He has really found a new love for woodwork. So if you want something made just ask.

Yesterday Emily was playing with a blanket and was having a blast of course I always get the same face reaction, but I thought it was cute.

Alas this may be a little late, but all the same here we go. Jason and I had our own little Thanksgiving this year because he worked. We started off the day with going to the Turkey Trot which his family tradition. Emily, Jason, his brother Paul and their son Ammon all walked the Turkey Trot together. After that we came home Jason helped me put the Turkey in and he went to work. I played with Emily for a little bit after that, but than i decided I should start this whole Thanksgiving feast. So I started by making the jello salad and I thought of Aunt Lori the whole time. Next I made Grandma's rolls they did not turn out too bad at least Emily loved them, and than of course I made some mashed potatoes and gravy all of that went pretty well. however the most stressful part of the meal was my turkey I put it in the oven and set the timer for how long they told me it was going to take to cook, but my thermometer did not pop. 2 hours later it did, needless to say I am going to be a little more prepared next year. Jason got home for work we ate and than he headed over to his parents house for dessert, but I put Emily to bed. Overall good day, but I figure eventually my food will start tasting better, so my rolls will taste like Grandmas, and my salads will taste like Aunt Lori's and my Turkey will taste like my moms. Sorry I did not take any pictures of my feast I was just too tired of it was completed, but Enjoy the Pictures from the Turkey Trot

Raked Leaves..well tried

Emily and I got bored today so I thought it would be fun to rake leaves. Emily loves being outdoor and it is a way nice today. We had a ton of fun...although it was a lot of work stopping her from eating leaves. I guess next year we will be ready for the big leagues  Great Grandma and Grandpa Brinkerhoff;s house. or at the very least Grandma and Grandpa Rasmussen

Happy Halloween

So Emily is adorable we dressed her in two different costumes this year: A Skeleton
Than I was inspired to dress her as a biker girl so her is her cool biker girl outfit
This year Jason, Emily  and I attended our trunk or treat, but it was kind of a disaster but we took some pictures. Jason had fun playing with Emily and I dressed up like a nerd.

This year Jason and I carved pumpkins Jason turned out pretty cool, but I think mine is awesome because it has a hat. Emily had her own pumpkin it the smallest one of all

Overall we had a blast and cannot wait tell next year when emily can get us some candy!!! I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween

Pumpkin Patch

This year was Emily and my first time to the Pumpkin Patch and Jason decided to take us and we had a blast. We had to take a hay ride to pick the pumpkins. It was an all you can carry. Also after everything was said and done Emily peed on me. Boy does she love her mom.

Guess Who is Mobile

Emily is officially crawling. She decided to skip scooting and go straight to crawling. Everything is a lot more difficult like dressing her, changing her, me eating and pretty much everything else. Here is a video of when she was first starting off.

Sick at the Brown House

zzSo I have started Physical Therapy and I am doing GREAT!! I can now get my knee straight all the way, and I am almost walking normal. (but who really walks normal anyway). Weather here has cooled down a little bit so we are getting to dress emily up in different jackets and it makes her look cute as ever. I guess we did spend a little too much time outside one day, when she was not dressed warm enough so she ended up with a runny nose. So she lovingly gave that to me and I have had the  most viscous cold ever, My ears hurt, my eyes were dry, my nose was running, and of course a cough. I conquered the cold however.

Jason is doing really he has switched shift so he works 5 days a week but shorter days, which allows him to spend more time with me and Emily. He also took great care of me and Emily when I was sick, putting her to bed  and helping me when she would not sleep in the middle of the night.

Emily is still not crawling but is dominating scooting backwards, she can sit up on her own, and now she can even pull herself up to standing. She only pulls herself up when she wants something and most of the time it is my phone or something else I do not want her to have, but here are some pictures of our family.

Grandpa Came to VA/DC

This last weekend my Dad traveled the long journey eastward to meet his granddaughter Emily. Dad's flight was supposed to land at 11:30, so of course it landed at 11:00. So lets just say Jason and I were a little late picking him up, with traffic, construction, and my amazing sense of direction. Once we got home we all went to bed.

The first real day Dad was here he took Emily on a run with him. When they came back Emily was not in the best mood, but she was still up for picture.

After we all got ready for the day Dad wanted to buy some Virginia stuff, and shoes so we traveled all around Fredericksburg to find him the things he needed. After that we went to the park.  There we walked around the Folf course.

when we got home we at some pork chops and then played some wii

Saturday we went to DC. That is right everyone I drove northbound to springfield and then from their we went on the metro. We walked all around seeing the different site and taking a ton of pictures. We decided to head home at 4:30 so we got back on the metro. Once we made it to the metro station I had a little trouble finding our car, I guess i have a horrible sense of direction. We got to the car finally and Dad was hungry and asked me if we could stop. I went on to tell him once we got on the interstate we are not getting off, so he named every restaurant on the way home.

After we got home we had hamburgers for dinner and played some wii

Sunday we went to church and watched some football, and Monday dad went home.
We loved having him here and cant wait tell the next visit, but hopefully Mom comes too. Also sorry about the side pictures just turn your head and they will look prettier
