State Fair 2013

After we got home and the kids "napped" we headed out to the state fair. Boy did we have a good time! TO start off though I led Jason once again in the wrong direction we were trying to park and they were directing us, but then they stopped directing us so I assumed that must mean we go straight, however that was not the case so we had to get back on the interstate and go through again what we just went through with a crying kid. Whoops! We saw a ton of animals and even a giraffe, Jason even fed the giraffe. We learned some agriculture things and Emily played a carnival game and won a dragon whom she loves. We saw a bear show which was cool and watched people go up in a hot air balloon. However, I feel if you ask my kids what their favorite part was it was definitely the funnel cake. Then we played in the corn box which both kids loved and then it was late so we headed on home. Max slept the whole way while Emily ate food.

5k for food

We started of yesterday with some good ol running. They called it a 5 k but it was further Jason, Emily, Max and I all ran it. It was a blast and the route was pretty. The first part of the race was the hardest for Jason because he was pushing the stroller on the grass trying to run and our stroller does not have a whole lot of grip so it was difficult. We both ran way good and max and Emily had a blast.

We were chasing each other all morning

Running and playing (note the waffle)

AHHH...Emily is going to take my waffle
After the run was service projects we tried to go plant trees but I got us lost from where we were supposed to go. So we tied to blankets had Emily and Max eyes checked by the lion's club and then headed home. Overall is was a great morning perfect weather for running.

Kids are weird

I have some cute kids and they love their tepee grandma made them. They play in the teppee for hours laughing and giggling I love it. Yesterday while Jason was out doinga  service project Max, Emily and I went to the library. Which was a blast, we made some new friends and Emily was able to lay some kids her own age. Max is walking more and more especially at the library. When Jason came from the service project we went for  a walk...all and all all is well at the Browns. In other news things I learned about my children this past week. 1. addiction to mini wheat cereal 2. love of puzzles 3. Emily loves to laugh at people getting hurt, wonder where she got that from.

Catch up

So it is official my children the cutest children on the planet. I woke up this morning and decided to take a picture of Max, then emily demanded I take pictures of her. Needless to say we took a lot of pictures of both of them.
As for this weeks happenings not a lot. Emily and Max are adjusting well to getting babysat they loved Sadie and I hoe she at least tolerated them. Jason is doing good at work, and I am surviving school. This coming week we have PALs testing and it will be a rough week but interesting. I am adjusting to my class and my class is adjusting to me. We are almost on the same page and I only yell sometimes.
Emiy is growing up quite fast she talking full sentences all the time , her new favorite phrase however is I need that, super annoying (thanks ammon). Yesterday we went yard saling and I bout a crane ramp thingy and she loves, but the bad thing is when she loves it she does not share. So we have had a few (i use this lightly) blow ups.
Max is taking many many steps now, and thinks about walking first but gets frustrated or if you are looking at him he crawls. What a weird child.
Yesterday we attended our primary activity we were missionaries Emily had a blast, probably more for the food but it was fun. Jason was able to tell everyone about his mission.
This reminds me of Emily's pictures when she was little

Walking and Riding

Well school has started I have now had the flu, max learned to walk, and Emily is now riding her bike like a champ. Overall a good week. Max is really walking walking but he is taking steps by himself and he tries to walk first versus crawl now which is fun. What makes it even better is he waited tell I was home on Friday to start trying to walk. GO MAXI!! Emily has been practicing riding her bike and is getting pretty good on the whole balance thing, however on her tricycle I still cannot get her to pedal. She is trying to go potty more, but more to entertain me than anything, but I guess that means she is my kid. Jason is doing good he is truly amazing when I got home from the first day of school he had a plethera of chocolate ready for me. He is also working hard for Mutual of Omaha. Overall everything is great we are happy bunch of folk. THis morning Emily and Max were playing in the tub together splashing the water like no ones business, but it was fun and cute. I love it when they get along. These are pictures from Saturday when we went to the library both of our kids love the library and it was a blast!

School and my children

This week has been hard, but amazing. This week was open house at school where I was able to meet a lot of the parents of my students, but it was scary cause they all had there two cents on how I should teach their individual child. 2nd I missed my kids like crazy every time I came home I felt like they grew two feet. It did not help that I was busy in the evening, but I mostly took the kids with me when i went. On Monday I went and got free stuff from the SEA and then Tuesday was the new employee extravaganza plus the panther picnic, but all and all good days. As for Jason he is doing really well at Mutual of Omaha as well as adjusting to being the parent who is home during the day. Our kids love him so have done really well with just him at at home. Max is close to walking and emily is doing good about knowing her colors, shapes and being a nice older sister most of the time. Occasionally she yells at Max for looking at her but not as much as she used too.Tuesday school starts should be a good one.
