Adjusting

We are adjusting to life right now. I am adjusting to being home, my kids are adjusting to not going to school, and we are all adjusting to baby Calvin being here.

First things first my baby boy is 10 pounds 9 ounces and loves food. He is sleeping fairly well at night, better then my other kids. His favorite person to play with him is Emily. He loves to be moving around, whether it is strapped to me, or someone holding him in the stroller or just bouncing in our bouncer.

ugh life is tough when your a baby

Emily is getting ready for her birthday party. She is super jazzed about turning five because it means she starts Kindergarten soon. She misses school and all her friends, but she will head back in April. She like Calvin as long as he is not crying she helps get him dressed gets him a blanket and so many things I am grateful for her support.

Max is a funny boy. He loves cars and likes to pretend there his kids, or that they are the ingredients he is cooking with, or that the super heroes need them for some reason or another. He doesn't think his baby brother is very exciting yet he will give him hugs and kisses but that is about it. However, he did ask me if there was a baby in my belly. I told him No, and I asked why and he said he wanted a girl baby now. Got to love kids.

Overall we have been trying to stay busy, we have been to the library and the park. We play outside and go on walks. I head back to work in April should be interesting.

Valentines Day

So I am a bad person, cause Valentine's Day was kind of bust for my kids, so Jason and I made up for it on Monday, we bought some half off chocolates and made sugar cookies. They were big fans of the cookies. I love watching my kids grow up it is crazy to see how much they have grown up.
Max is throwing fits like a champ still and is the pickiest eater on the planet, but he can also be so loveable.

Emily is growing up, she is making friends, making up games, and is becoming a real little kid. I think it is weird that she will be five here shortly.

Funny story side note: Max colored his ear blue the other day, I had to call my Mom and ask how do you get blue out of ears. I still have no idea how it happened, but his ear is no longer blue.

Hello Baby Calvin

We have a new little miracle in our world. Calvin Cornelius Brown born at 2:25 February 11, 2016. He was 9 lbs 11 ounces and 20 inches.

I went into the hospital assuming that I was having a c-section, I was feeling super defeated and depressed about it. When I got there with Jason at 5:30 on the 11th, that is not what happened. The hospital was all ready for the C-section, but my doctor didn't know she was giving me one. It was a miracle because Jim and Jason gave me a blessing of comfort to listen to the doctors and their advice for they know what is best. So not even 5 seconds later a nurse walks in that helped deliver Max. She kept asking questions like why are you doing this you will go into labor on your own you have done this before. She then said she would talk to the doctor. My doctor came in later and said that she would like to induce, instant relief filled my whole body. After a little pitocin and her breaking my water and an epidural later. Little Calvin was born.

Emily and Max are excited for their baby brother to be here. Emily keeps telling me his cold and Max is more confused. I am so happy that we are now a family of five and we are now adjusting to be that family.

Visit from Jonas

Jonas came knocking at our door on January 22nd, and we have enjoyed his gift he has left since then. The first day we went to the library and then after nap time went outside and sledded, Saturday we just sledded and shoveled. Sunday we shoveled. Max was not a fan of outdoors, so we did some indoor skiing as well. Monday Emily and Jason built a snowman and Max refused to go outside. Tuesday Jason headed back to work and we tried to play outside, Max HATED it, and Emily and I had a snowball fight. Today was much more fun we went on a walk Max and Emily had a blast smashing snowballs. We are currently on day 4 of no school, it is kind of weird and I am worried about going back. I also realized that I should have brought some more work home and not procrastinated some of my tests I had to give.

Emily's program

Emily had her first program last Thursday. Max was supposed to sing to, but he did not want to to put it nicely. Emily was very excited and looked super adorable. Since this none of us have been to school, we are thinking maybe tomorrow or Friday, but who knows.

Hanging out

School is back in session so we have to enjoy what cuddle time we have. Everyone took part on the bean bag. Max and Emily adjusted fairly well it is taking me longer then them. I think it was because Emily missed her friends so much and Max well he is Max.

Enjoying our Wet Christmas Break

I know that I am a huge slacker, but hey here it comes. We had a lot of fun over Christmas Break we played at the park and the library, but boy has it been wet! we have had a ton of rain. However its temperatures were super warm.  At the park we usually play where the equipment is there truck and I am trying to break into to or buying food from them. I love them so much and their creativity.
